GOING TO THE HOCHSCHULE TRIER IN IDAR-OBERSTEIN TO STUDY JEWELRY FOR TWO YEARS WAS AN UNPARALLELED EXPERIENCE. THE CAMPUS WAS AND IS FILLED WITH SOME OF THE MOST TALENTED MAKERS I HAVE SEEN. I CAME AWAY FROM THIS EXPERIENCE WITH A NEW WAY OF WORKING AND A NEW WAY OF THINKING. I TOOK ON A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT APPROACH TO MAKING AND A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IT MEANS FOR ME TO WORK WITH MAINLY ONE MATERIAL. THE CONTEMPORARY JEWELRY WORLD IS DOING BIG THINGS IN LITTLE PACKAGES. IT IS FULL-FILLING TO HAVE A FOOT IN BOTH THE JEWELRY AND THE GLASS WORLD AS THE GAP BETWEEN THE TWO GET CLOSER WITHIN MY WORK.
